There are several lasers and light devices that can be used for hair removal and provide permanent hair reduction. Lasers and light devices are the most effective hair removal techniques with very little pain. The Skin & Laser Surgery Center of New England uses a Diode laser, Nd:YAG Laser and StarLux™ light device that is safe and effective for all skin types. 

It takes multiple treatments to achieve long-term results and small and large areas can be treated at one time. A numbing cream is used before treatment to make the procedure more comfortable. The interval between each treatment varies depending upon the site and individual skin and hair type.
