Scarring can be painful; especially right after the injury happens to the skin. Sometimes, steroid injections or over the counter NSAIDs may be given to help patients get rid of any pain or discomfort while the skin completely heals.

Yes, if you have a giant, gaping wound, then you are going to need to cover it prevent it from getting infected. But if you have a big cut or if you even have a pimple that you just popped, the last thing that you want to do is cover it. Why?
