Medical Director at Syneron-Candela
Dr. Khatri recently accepted the position of Medical Director at Syneron-Candela Laser Company. His clinical work at Skin & Laser Surgery Center of New England will continue as before. As the Medical Director, he will supervise the research, help develop new lasers and other devices. He will not only supervise the staff, but will be providing new review study protocols. He will help analyze the data and transform that into clinical use for final end-users, physicians. He will be teaching seminars while traveling around the world to represent the company and teach other physicians/colleagues.
Dr Khatri has a passion for laser research. His research career started with a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard where he was performing DNA analysis of patients with a devastating skin disease called Pemphigus Vulgaris. He joined the Wellman Center of Photomedicine at Harvard after his residency in Dermatology to start his Laser Fellowship. During this fellowship he conducted several studies to develop new lasers. Some of his pioneering work resulted with new lasers and techniques. After his fellowship, Dr. Khatri started his private practice and continued laser research.
